School website design FAQs
What policies should be on a school website?
Commonly the safeguarding and child protection policy, behaviour policy, complaints procedure, charging and remissions policy, SEND information report, accessibility plan and equality objectives. The exact list depends on the type of school, so check it against the current DfE guidance.
The policies are your own documents: we give each one a clear place on the website and you can replace a file yourself when it's updated.
Updating your existing website
If the school already has a website, we can redesign it with the Business plan at £19.99 a month + VAT, moving across the content that still matters. Once it's live, whoever is in charge can publish letters, events and photos from a simple dashboard, with a step-by-step written guide.
And if you'd rather not touch it, just email us and we'll make the changes for you.
Academy website requirements
Academies follow their funding agreement and the DfE guidance on what academy trusts must publish online. The list is close to the one for maintained schools, plus trust information such as the annual report and accounts. We build the school's pages and link to your trust's website where that information lives.
Independent school website requirements
Independent schools in England provide information to parents under the Independent School Standards, including the safeguarding policy, behaviour and anti-bullying policies, the complaints procedure and details of the curriculum. Most also want fees, open days and a news section. We build those pages and the school provides the policies.
We work by email with schools across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and you review the finished website on a real link before paying.
