Website design for solicitors FAQs
How much does a law firm website cost?
With us it starts at £12.99 a month + VAT, including design, hosting, a .co.uk domain, SSL and business email. A firm with more practice areas and more fee earners may need the Business plan at £19.99 a month.
You only pay once you've seen your finished website and you're happy with it. If you don't like it, you don't pay.
What is the 3 second rule in web design?
It's the idea that visitors decide within about three seconds whether a website is right for them. For a law firm that means a home page that says clearly what you do and where, links to each practice area, and a visible way to get in touch.
Behind that come the essentials: a separate page for each practice area, a profile for each solicitor, anonymised examples of the situations you help with (an unfair dismissal, an estate to administer, a breach of contract, with no names or identifying details) and a contact page with an enquiry form. If your firm is SRA-regulated, add the information the Transparency Rules require, such as your complaints procedure and the SRA digital badge.
Which website builder is best for lawyers?
You don't need to use a builder yourself: we design and build the site for you, write the copy in a clear, measured tone for people with no legal background, and you check the legal content before anything goes live. We never write promises of outcomes or guarantees of winning a case.
Once it's live, you can change text and photos from a simple dashboard, or email us and we'll do it within your plan. A one-solicitor practice fits the Starter plan at £12.99 a month; a firm with several partners usually needs Business at £19.99, with up to 10 sections and 15 email accounts.
